Bargain madness

A White blazer is the perfect refresher for your summer wardrobe. I picked up this blazer at Primani for a whopping £5, bargainnnnnnn or what!

Park life

Last Saturday I found myself up at crazy o clock ( for a Saturday) and in a park surrounded by a bunch of cool guys and girls, all dressed up in retro garms, bopping their heads along to the soulful sounds of a amazing up and coming singer. Why was I here? Well just incase you didn't get the memo, I am also a budding stylist, and I was on a shoot- my first music video shoot for Chantelle  ( backing singer of Maverick Sabre). The video was for her first single as a solo artist.

The brief I was given was to find bright  outfits ( including accessories ) that had a late 60s/ early 70s vibe.

The shoot was sooooo my much fun, and I fell in love with the guy who played the grandad in the video!! He is probably the most stylish grandad I've ever met.

The single is due to be released soon so look out for it, but for now here are some photos from the shoot.

Introducing Ocean Pacific

Every once in a while a gal needs to get away from the big city and have a mini break, so in 2 weeks’ time, I am off to Nice for a short break. I am soooooo looking forward to chillaxing on the beach, sipping on a 1, 2 or 3 Pina  Colada (my holiday tipple), whilst I flick through a huge pile of magazines and finally get to finish reading a book that I started reading so long ago. I started reading this book MONTHS ago and I think I might need to even go back to the beginning as I am pretty sure I have forgotten the plot. (Yes, its that bad). Obviously this in an excuse to snap up a new bikini or two (hee hee, any excuse right).

Recently a new US lifestyle brand was brought to my attention, the brand goes by the name of Ocean Pacific (or OP) and they are sell the cutest retro bikini’s; think playful, bright and printed beauties. The great news is there products are debit card/credit card friendly! I'm talking as cheap as £5.99 for a bikini top and if you are quick enough you can snap up a bikini set for.... £2 in the summer sales. (hooray!)

Ocean Pacific is exclusively stocked in Sports direct on-line and in store.

Below are my faves that will be coming along with me in my spotty suitcase.

Kimono- tastic

I picked this Kimono up a few months ago, I wore  it for a few hours, then forgot about it. I only re discovered it the other day when I came across a picture I took of it for a potential blog post (due to the crazy price tag and the pure fabulosity of it). I didn't get round to writing it; don't ask me why as I don't even know.

So now that we have been reacquainted, allow me to introduce you to this lush kimono that I paid a whooping..... £3 for, yes £3, in the H&M sale. The funny thing is I bought this after I just had finished eating a overpriced but yummy lunch from Pret that costed me £6.

I am going to let you in on a secret, this kimono was hiding in the lingerie department, so it is really a lingerie type of kimono, but I won't tell anyone if you don't, deal? As I am Krazy about this Kimono.

So thoughts on the kimono?

To all the ladies in the place with style and grace...

Has anyone snapped up any great buys in the summer sales? I popped into River Island last week to see if could find some bits for the next shoot that I am styling on, which happens to be a video shoot (more about that later). I picked up a few bits for the shoot and also printed dungarees for a very debit card friendly price of £15.

Today I gave my dungarees there first outing. I love the print and the colour which also sits nicely  alongside my new dip-dye hair colour.

Dunagress-River Island  WAS £40, NOW 315.

Miss me?

Dear  'Just call me Shoe-na', I've missed you squillions!! But I thought about you soo much and I'm back with lots to write about, so I hope you are ready from me!

On a serious note, I've been a bit quiet on the blog for a few weeks, which isn't cool but the last 4 weeks have been cray, cray! All good things though and I am armd with lots of photos and things to share, so kick back, grab a drink and have a read.

So this heatwave that we have had for umm 2 weeks is just great! Everyone seems happier when the sun is out  in full effect and things that would normally  be a struggle such as Monday mornings, somehow do not seem as bad, don't you think?

This weekend I went the Wireless festival and I had best time, bubbling away to tunes and sipping on cider. Miguel, Trey Sexy Songz and John Legend were brill,  Snoop Dogg Lion  was surprisingly fab;  I say this as since his silly  name change, I have not really been feeling his new material. I assumed that he would perform all his new stuff and not any of  his 'dogg' songs.  My sister assured me that he would but I wasn't convinced so I was playing a toilet break and cider top during his performance, but boy was I wrong. Mr  snoop dogg  lion smashed it! he got the crowd  pumped up and he took it  back to the good old snoop days with songs like 'What's my name' and Drop it like its hot'.  Justin Timberlake killed it too and  the surprise appearance from the Amazing Jay-Z was just  EPIC!

With only a few mins to get ready, I kept my outft quite simple = a all black outfit , except  my footwwear which you can't see in the picture. (Sorry about that

Did anyone else go to wireless?
